In less divisive times, talk of the year's first major at Augusta National ramped up with the start of the PGA Tour's Florida Swing. These days the storylines are much different.
Of course a lot of the blame goes to LIV Golf but just as much goes to the current ranking system ( OWGR ). Fortunately the only deserving player not in The Masters this year is Taylor Gooch. Hopefully this can be rectified soon. If the ranking system now in place merely ranked all of the best players in the world, it would be more exciting.
What has Talor Gooch done to deserve a Masters invitation? Nothing of consequence in real professional golf tournaments. He needs to quit whining and play on the other tours that will have him and provide OWGR points.
Blaming lack of Masters Madness on LIV is ridiculous. What is your basis for this? Look at the dropping TV ratings for PGAT, including the Players. You blaming that on LIV? May as well blame inflation on LIV.
