With PIF already cutting back on its soccer commitment, money getting tighter, looks as if the PGA Tour play might be to wait them out. Fact that LIV announced only four events, not its full schedule, might mean something. Or not. Hard to tell if Saudis are losing interest in this.

PIF do not like losing face and money is almost limitless so they are probably going to ramp up the pressure to bankrupt the PGA Tour. PGA Tour decision making and strategy over the last year is looking below average, the start of the end?

The Saudi approach to anything is to throw money at it. Damn the torpedoes.

I don’t understand how the players can go there knowing it’s the same regime that is guilty of corruption, misogyny, racism, torture and assassinations. And, most importantly, they’re not golfers.

There will be unexpected and untinended consequences we don't foresee yet. Could PGA Tour downsize to 25 events? Could LIV exist as a Sept-Dec addition to PGA Tour sked? Does team golf have any future? (Nah.) We don't know. Are Korn Ferry, senior circuit and DP World Tour financially sound in this new future? Lotta questions, lotta problems. But the big boys keep voting themselves millions in bonuses so they're happy.

i would disagree somewhat. Bryson has personality. Koepka? Cam Smith has a mullet but is a flatliner. Other guys with personality like phil, westwood, poulter, bubba aren't in the top 40. Tour guys have personality--some of them, such as rory, spieth, thomas, etc. Lot of guys we don't know well enough yet, tho, so i would agree with you in part. Are they boring or we just haven't seen them enough yet?

You have to count ties as half a win and half a loss.

How do you come up with .773 for Rahm? Your explanation of the calculations doesn't seem to match up with the numbers on the list. Rahm is 636-174-6=847. 636/847=.75 not .773. What am I missing?

I follow LIV way more than the PGATour. All the players with a personality have gone to LIV. The PGATour is so reft of any personality that they are as boring as the LPGA Tour.

"In a weird way, the PGA Tour’s success has almost become a problem. I bet I know what the Tour will do to solve the problem. Throw more money at it. A lot more money."

Well you said it, Gary but the real question is where will all the money come from. Eventually, critical analysis suggests there is only one group available with that kind of deep pockets.

Oh & btw, they're the ones who already own the competition & they can afford to wait for the PGA Tour to exhaust all other options. At this rate maybe just a few more years. The BigBizBoyz who appeared to know this were jettisoned by Tiger & Buds who thot they could protect their pensions & lavish lifestyles. What could go wrong with this picture???

Time to cue the soundtrack, large airplane nose dives into oblivion.........

I went to a LIV event two years ago, wrote it up for SI.com. it's a fun day in person. reminded me of the Sr Tour. doesn't mean anything but fun to watch good golf. the team thing sounds like it ought to be interesting but there's no way to cover it on TV w 4 diff team members in 4 groups. i'd go attend in person again. (if if didn't have to pay) hard to watch on tv. altho the playoff in Adelaide was exciting. thx for reading.

We used to get Liv in Toronto on CHCH TV a small independant station based in Hamilton, Ontario. So far this season I have not seen Liv on CHCH TV. My only access is through Youtube.

Where can I tune in to LIV golf tournament events? I would like to view them but when it first started I couldn't find a station to tune in at.

The CW app streams Friday's rounds and then the CW network carries the weekend rounds.

And tv cud do better job of following it. Only drawback, most fans prob dont know the guts vying for top 50 and are less likely to care. Olympics fun watching battle for 2d and third. Thx!

I have watched two LIV events in Spain

My main reason was to watch top

Golfers at close quarters not pay a fortune on entry and have it all done in four hours

I don’t like the team aspect or the razzmatazz but I watched good golf
