Cedar Crest was the site of Hagen's 1927 PGA Championship win and Sifford's 1954 UGA Negro National Open victory. The statues were designed by Emmanuel Gillespie. Donors for the statues are The Louis L. Borick Foundation, Bill and Rusty Duvall, and Jay Bray and the Mr. Cooper Group.
