“It’s a dog-eat-dog world and I’m wearing Milk Bone underwear.”
— Norm at the bar, “Cheers”

San Diego-based Sunday Golf, which specializes in lightweight carry bags, has a secret weapon in the very competitive golf bag business.

Her name is Mindy. She is a dog.

Mindy probably won’t join the ranks of famous real TV dogs such as Lassie, Eddie (“Frasier”), Spuds McKenzie (Bud Light beer mascot) or Wishbone (“Wishbone,” PBS) but she is Sunday Golf’s posterchild — sorry, poster-mutt. Mindy posed with some of Sunday Golf’s carry golf bags for photos at SundayGolf.com.

What better way to attract male golfers’ attentions that doesn’t include a string bikini than to feature a dog? Everybody loves dogs. It’s out-of-the-box thinking by a company that also makes a unique left-handed golf bag. (No, that’s not a joke. It is a bag designed for left-handed golfers. More on that later.)
